Account

You sign in with Google: we receive your name, e-mail address and Google account identifier. We never see your Google password.

If you created the account from a link on our website, we store that link’s tag (e.g. “home-hero”) with the account, so we know which page helps. Nothing is stored in your browser for this.

In the app

The files you upload and your books are stored in a database and file storage in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany), encrypted at rest and in transit. Only you can open a company’s data. We open it only at your request (e.g. to look into an error) or where the law requires it. We never sell your data or use it to train AI models. Legal basis: performing the contract; other people’s data in your documents we process on your behalf as a processor (Terms, section 11).

Questions and instructions to Rūta

Only with your consent, when answering a question or carrying out an instruction, Rūta sends the Anthropic Claude model your question and the entries from the books it needs: bank lines (date, amount, payer or payee, description), invoices (number, customer or supplier, amount), declaration figures and Rūta’s open questions. Files, bank account numbers and your company code are not sent. After each upload Rūta looks through the new entries the same way and suggests what to confirm. For a case she does not know yet, Rūta looks for the rule only on official sites (vmi.lt, e-seimas.lrs.lt, e-tar.lt, sodra.lt, registrucentras.lt) and uses no names or amounts in the search. The kind of operations not known yet (e.g. “a bank loan”) – without amounts, names or company data – is used to build new rules. Changes to the books are made by the app on your device, and each can be undone. Anthropic does not use this data to train models.

Reading documents

Only with your consent, receipts and invoices the app cannot read by itself (photos, scanned PDFs, supplier invoices) are sent to the Anthropic Claude model to read their fields (seller, buyer, date, amounts, VAT). Your company’s name and codes go with them, so it is clear who issued the invoice. What is read goes into your books only after you confirm it. Anthropic does not use these documents to train models.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your name, e-mail, address, VAT code and card details; we see payment and invoice information but not the card number. Our database keeps the plan: which company (its code), for which period and its status, plus the Stripe customer and subscription references. We keep invoices as long as accounting law requires. Legal basis: performing the contract and a legal obligation. Payment data is also processed in the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Sub-processors

Supabase (database and files, kept in the EU), Cloudflare (delivery of the website and the app), Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (answers to questions to Rūta and reading documents – only with your consent). Data leaving the EU is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep your books while you have an account. When you delete a company or your account, the data is deleted at once and from backups within 30 days. We keep invoices for eBalansas as long as accounting law requires.

Government systems

eBalansas never logs into VMI, Sodra or Registrų centras on your behalf and never submits anything.

Your rights

On the Account page you can download the open company’s data and delete your account together with the companies where you are the only owner. You can also ask for access, correction, restriction or deletion at [e-mail], and complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt).
